Website Reviews
There are several sites that have been created to review other websites, businesses, products or services. Some individuals hate them and some love them. A review site is not a new concept. They have been around for quite a while. Many are private companies or entities. Several industries use reviews as a method to point out major problems and flaws of other entities in the industry.
There are many individuals and businesses who make all or a large majority of their income reviewing products, services, people and businesses. Much like a movie critic they analyze all parts of their subject such as title, acting, scripting, costumes, special effects, etc.
Webmasters should view reviewers as assets rather than enemies or nuisances. They should be considered as an important part of the business, one that improves the industry overall. Using a reviewers opinion to improve your site or product should be a natural thing.
The fact that so much time and attention has been placed on a particular website means that the site is probably good. It means that the website is something worthy of attention and the blog is only a testament to the importance of the website or whatever the site represents. If the website has no value and doesn’t attract much attention, the reviewers will not spend their precious time going over the website. A review simply won’t spend their time on a site that doesn’t merit it.
